Eat some great food for a great cause with Austin Restaurant Weeks: a new two-week long fundraiser where restaurants across Austin feature specially-priced menu items with proceeds going to the Central Texas Food Bank! This year’s participating restaurants include III Forks Steakhouse, La Condesa, Olive & June, Caroline, Jacoby’s, Intero, The Driskill Grill, and so many more! Can’t get enough Los Coast? Us either! The KGSR’s Blues on the Green and Unplugged at the Grove alumni are headlining a show at Cheer Up Charlie’s this Saturday, with support from local indie/psych groups Star Parks, Palo Duro, Ama, and the Azmaris! Entry is $5 at the door for 21+, and $8 for 18+. 

 

Beauty and the Beast

One of our favorite Disney classics is being brought to life on the stage this month at the ZACH Theatre! Disney’s Beauty on the Beast is showing through September 2nd , and it’s not to be missed! 7th Annual Austin Originals Benefit Concert

Another great event for a great cause: the 7th Annual Austin Originals Benefit Concert returns to ACL Live this Saturday night with a performance from Bob Schneider, Casey McPherson, Nakia, and James Junius, plus live and silent auctions, local food tastings, and more, all benefitting the Austin Child Guidance Center. City Wide Garage Sale
10 AM – 5 PM | Palmer Events Center
  
  
Grab your shopping crew, grab your wallet, and get to the Palmer Events Center this weekend for this months’ City Wide Garage Sale! Each garage sale hosts a new variety of vintage clothes, jewelry, furniture, arts and crafts, vinyl records, and all of the collectibles and antiques your heart desires. Entry is just $7 per person (free for kids 12 and under), and $12 for early shopper entry for those of you looking to get ahead of the pack! 

 

Austin Bat Fest
4 PM – 12 AM| Congress Ave. Bridge

Austin Bat Fest is back! Congress Ave. Bridge will be closed to traffic Saturday night to make way for over 50 arts and crafts vendors, food and drinks, kid’s activities, and a stage that will host live performances from Ghostland Observatory, Roger Creager, Chingy, Mike Jones, and many more! And did we mention bats? There will be lots of bats. Over 1.5 MILLION bats will emerge from under the bridge at dusk, and it’s truly a sight to see. Grab your ticket before midnight tonight to take advantage of the $15 discounted price, or pay $20 tomorrow at the door.

Summer Artist Market
4 – 10 PM | Buzz Mill

20 local artists and vendors will be gathering at the Buzzmill this Sunday evening for an artist market/fundraiser benefitting Articulate Austin’s pilot season! Bad Advice Entertainment and Papa Squatt will be providing live music, and there will be a raffle featuring prizes from Brass Rabbit Vintage, Breadwinner, and more!
