Foo Fighters Release 10th Album ‘Medicine At Midnight’

Foo Fighters released their 10th studio album Medicine At Midnight.

The band had a pretty unique experience when it came to making the album. Dave Grohl and the gang headed to an abandoned home in Encino, California to create the new material. Little did they know the house they chose to stay in was haunted.

In an interview with NME, Grohl discussed some of the spooky moments that occurred in the home. “We would come back to the studio the next day and all of the guitars would be detuned. We would open up a Pro Tools session and tracks would be missing. There were some tracks that were put on there that we didn’t put on there.” Yikes.

Eventually, the band decided to hide a baby monitor in the studio in hopes of catching footage of the culprit. They did. Turns out, there’s some intense history in that house. And unfortunately, the band can’t disclose any of it.

“I had to sign a fucking non-disclosure agreement with the landlord because he’s trying to sell the place. So, I can’t give away what happened there in the past but these multiple occurrences over a short period of time made us finish the album as quickly as we could,” said Grohl. Those chilling moments prompted the rock band to finish the album “as quickly as [they] could.”

Aside from commemorating a new album, this year also marks another special occasion for the Seattle band. They’re celebrating their 25th anniversary, and they’re doing it in style. Foo Fighters created a custom design of the Vans Sk8-Hi sneakers. The limited edition shoes come in the classic black Vans style that feature Foo Fighters’ signature logo on the inner side of each shoe, and their band name visibly written on the back. On the left you’ll see the word “Foo” while the right sneaker shows “Fighters” printed in bold red letters. The shoes are now available to grab.
