Glass Animals cover Lorde’s most recent album’s title track, “Solar Power” on Radio 1’s Live Lounge.

The Oxford band performed two of their most popular singles; “Heat Waves” and “I Don’t Wanna Talk (I Just Wanna Dance)” on Radio 1’s Live Lounge.

To the audiences surprise the band kicked off their performance covering electro-pop singer Lorde and her song “Solar Power,” with a twist only Glass Animals could curate.

Turning the acoustic number to a rhythmic upbeat dance number, Glass Animals reenergized Lorde’s single with soulful backup singers and catchy claps.

Glass Animals have slowly climbed their way to the top as they made headway in chart history with ‘Heat Waves’; which reached Number 10 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 for the first time last month, spending 42 weeks on the chart.

The success of the single is in thanks to Tik Tok, as the song became a popular sound with the line “Sometimes, all I think about is you” highlighted.

In September, Glass Animals returned with a new single called “I Don’t Wanna Talk (I Just Wanna Dance)” – their first release since last year’s “Dreamland.”

Front man Dave Bayley shared with NME, the inspiration of the single, noting his realization for allowing precious memories to slip away by dwelling on unimportant issues.

“Talking is great, don’t get me wrong. But this pandemic has made so many of us look inwards in a way we maybe haven’t before.”
