Batiste is the top Grammy nominee of 2022. “11!!!!!!!!!!!!,” wrote the musician via Twitter. “WOW!! Thank you God!! I’m so grateful to my collaborators and to my ancestors.”

Batiste is nominated for Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Best Traditional R&B Performance, Best R&B Album, Best Improvised Jazz Solo, Best Jazz Instrumental Album, Best American Roots Performance, Best American Roots Song, Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Album, Best Contemporary Classical Composition, and Best Music Video.
