Trevin Show Notes 2/10/2021 – Wednesday Wild Cards & More

LOCAL NATIVES PIC

Hello and Happy Wednesday out there. Got my website credentials today, so watch out cyberspace!

Gonna be a coldt AF few days out there. Any excuse to wear a cool hoodie though, right?

*Started out this chilly morning with a Wild Card right outta the gun. The Los Angeles electronic duo Classixx have teamed up with pals Local Natives for a coupla new tunes. Classixx met Local Natives at a wedding of mutual friends in Mexico and say they instantly bonded. Calling it a true collab between the two, we jammed “Francesca”.

*Wild Card number two of the day featured Austin music courtesy of Dr. Joe! Raised on a farm in Kansas and now based here, Joe learned how to play piano at an early age from a southern gospel choir matron. Cool, right? Debut EP “Glad You Called” is out now (and quite good). We jammed “Keep On Coming”.  Check out the site here.

* Austin’s Black Pumas performing this morning on NBC’s Third Hour of TODAY (as I type this). How cool is that! Thanks to my wife Leigh for that tip! Ha. They have some pretty sweet wax options available for pre order on their website. Purchases shipped on or around Feb 19th. The early bird gets the…erm…Puma?

*Art show ROADDD TRIPPP! If you’re up for it, San Antonio’s McNay Art Museum has a really cool exhibit starting up here in a coupla weeks. LIMITLESS! Five Women Reshape Contemporary Art kicks off on 2/25 and runs through 9/19. As the husband of a middle school art teacher I will be required to attend this.

Alright. Have a great day out there! Stay warm and be kind to one another. Catch me on socials til tomorrow @trevininaustin. Thanks for hanging with us!
