WATCH: Dave and Violet Grohl Cover X’s ‘Nausea’ on Kimmel

When your dad’s a rock star (aka Dave Grohl, aka an icon), you can only hope to create a rad collaboration with him. Well, Foo Fighters frontman and his daughter Violet Grohl teamed up to cover X’s 1980 track “Nausea.”

The cover was recorded for Dave Grohl’s upcoming documentary What Drives Us, which will be available to watch on Amazon Prime Video on April 30. However, the song does have a deeper connection for the Grohl family. X drummer D.J. Bonebrake is actually the frontman’s distant cousin.

The father-daughter track features lead vocals from Violet and production and harmonies from Dave. Recently, they performed “Nausea” on Jimmy Kimmel Live, and were joined by some pretty iconic musicians. Former Nirvana band member Krist Novoselic took the stage along with former Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo and Foo Fighters producer Greg Kurstin. Watch the star-studded performance below.
