The 1975 Cover Ariana Grande Ahead of New Album Release

The 1975 has left consistent clues and hints via their social media about their upcoming album and it is safe to say that The 1975 fans are officially on the edge of their seats. The band is set to release their third album A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships this Friday, November 30th. And in preparation for this highly anticipated event, Matty Healy and crew performed on BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge, released tour dates, and announced a worldwide listening party online.

With the release of singles such as “Give Yourself A Try”, “Love It If We Made It”, and “TOOTIMETOOTIMETOOTIME”, fans have caught a glimpse of what is to come in the band’s future. The wide variety of tour dates, including a stop in Austin, Texas, and the announcement of two intimate concerts taking place in London proved that The 1975 is ready to do what they do best: Put on an incredible live performance that allows fans to connect with the band.

Strengthening the connection that the band members share with their community, The 1975 will be hosting a worldwide album listening party on December 1st at 7 PM. Fans are encouraged to log onto Twitter and share their thoughts about the album through the hashtag “#ABBIIOR”. Additionally, some local record stores across the US are participating in the album’s release by hosting their own listening parties and prize giveaways on November 30th. Waterloo Records, located in the heart of Austin, will be expecting fans to come into the store at 4:00 PM where limited edition posters will be handed out.

As one last celebration before the album is released, The 1975 visited the Live Lounge at BBC Radio 1 earlier on Monday morning, November 26th, and performed two of their released singles “It's Not Living (If It's Not With You)" and "Sincerity Is Scary”, as well as a cover of Ariana Grande’s newest hit tune “thank u, next”.
