Austin City Limits Music Festival: featuring DUCKWRTH

Raised in South Central Los Angeles, DUCKWRTH always found music from the city captivating, but his mother urged for a different life. "A lot of the people coming up in our neighborhood, they were, like, joining gangs so she just didn't want me to be a part of a gang," said the artist in an interview with NPR. Growing up in a relgious household, his music options were limited; DUCKWRTH's childhood consisted of drawing and writing, ultimately leading to making music.

Finding his creative path, the rapper used music as a way to open up about his background."It's me revealing, like, the realities right now. And it's also being able to speak to people, but with their language."

The artist recently released a music video for his song "Crush" and the rapper clearly masters the art of dance. Watch the dance-filled sequence below:

DUCKWRTH is set to go on tour with Billie Eilish and Louis The Child. Don't miss out on catching  the artist both Sundays at ACL Festival at the T-Mobile stage at 1:15PM.
