Friday, August 16th

Austin Restaurant Week | Various Restaurants | 11AM-10PM

You can eat out this weekend for a good cause with Austin Restaurant Week! Go to any of the many participating restaurants this weekend and get one of multiple meal options they have available, and part of the proceeds will go to the Austin Food Bank. It’s a great way to explore local Austin restaurants and support the community!

Up Screening | Community Cinema at Mobile Leaves and Fishes | 7:30PM-10:30PM

Grab your tissues and head on out to see this Friday night screening of the movie Up! As always, the Community Cinema screenings are completely free, however, $5 donations are appreciated! Make sure to grab your blanket and pick a good spot on the grass!

 

Lake Austin Starlight Kayak Tour | Low Water Crossing Road | 8PM-9:30PM

Gain some knowledge with the REI star-gazing tour! Instructors will provide a laser guided tour of the constellations while you cruise on some kayaks that they have provided. Recommended for those 12 or older, all those under 18 should be accompanied by an adult. Make sure to grab your gear and head on down!

 

Pinballz After Dark | Pinballz Arcade | 10PM-2AM

What’s better than Pinballz you ask? Pinballz AT NIGHT. The ever growing Austin staple is hosting an 18 and over event so the adults can have all the fun! It’s BYOB, so you bring the booze, and they’ll bring the fun!

 

Saturday, August 17th

Marvel Trivia Bar Crawl | Parlor and Yard | 4PM-12AM 

It’s time to flex on all your friends and see how much you know about the MCU! This bar crawl/trivia event has you doing trivia in multiple spots in any order so you can check out a bunch of cool bars while you answer questions! Make sure to register early, and trivia grading will be done at 10pm, with an after party to wrap it up!

 

Dog Treat Cooking Class | Overture Domain Apartments | 2PM-4PM 

Your dog is a growing boy/girl, they need some of your home cooking! Sip on mimosas and learn how to make three different treats for your best friend. And better yet, all proceeds will go towards a doggy wheelchair for Austin Pets Alive!

 

Dirty Martin’s Classic Car Night | Dirty Martin’s Place | 6PM-9PM

As summer comes to a close, catch up on all the final summer activities! Dirty Martin’s is having its final car show of the summer this Saturday, and you can check out all the classic rides and grab some great food while your at it!

 

Sunday, August 18th 
Summer Poolside Sessions | The Line Hotel Austin | 3PM-7PM

It’s Texas in August, so it is DEFINITELY pool time. Enjoy your Sunday evening sipping and swimming with the Line Hotel Poolside sessions, and enjoy music by Austin Boogie Crew!

 

Sweet as Honey: A Chocolate Taste Testing | Delysia Culinary Center | 12PM-5PM

In celebration of World Honey Bee Day, the Delysia Culinary Center is having a free chocolate taste testing! You can enjoy the unique flavors such as Honey Lavender Bacon Chocolate Truffle and Honey Chipotle Chocolate Truffle, just to name a few!
