Friday, December 6th

 

CapMetro Stuff the Bus | Domain and Downtown Whole Foods Stores | 7:30AM – 5:30PM

CapMetro – Stuff The Bus 2019

The 8th annual Stuff the Bus takes place Friday and all weekend long! Give back this holiday season with Cap Metro, Whole Foods Market and the Central Texas Food Bank. Their goal is to fill two CapMetro buses with your donations. Head on over to the Whole Foods stores in downtown Austin and Domain to bring food donations, or make a donation online. They’ll be taking donations all weekend long.

 

Happy Hour | Ellis at Fareground | 4PM-7PM

The long week is over, so celebrate during Happy Hour at Ellis at Fareground. Specials include $2 off wines by the glass, $2 off draft beers, $3 select Eastciders, $2 off food and more. 
 

2019 Sights & Sounds of Christmas | 401 E Hopkins St, San Marcos | 5PM-11PM

The holiday season is upon us folks! Get festive this weekend with your favorite people and make a little trip to San Marcos for the Sights & Sounds of Christmas Festival! Witness thousands of lights in front of you. Pretty cool, right? They’ll even have photo-ops with Santa, ice skating, a petting zoo for the kiddos, carnival rides, and so much more. Tickets start at $8! Children under 12 enter free. 

 

A Holiday Evening with Bob Schneider & the Moonlight Orchestra | ACL Live | 6:30PM

Enjoy live music at ACL Live with Bob Schneider & the Moonlight Orchestra. Opening the show are Tosca Strings and special guest Lex Land and Matt the Electrician. Tickets are still available to purchase. 

 

Saturday, December 7th

 

Puppies, Coffee & Stress Relief Party | Lucky Lab Coffee Co. of Austin | 10AM-1PM

Save a puppy this holiday season! Come out and find your furry friend with Lucky Lab Rescue and Adoption. They’ll be bringing puppies out for you to cuddle with while you sip on some delicious coffee. You can make a donation, including bringing a toy and treats.

 

Christmas on the Prairie

Christmas on the Prairie | Pioneer Farms | 1PM-5PM

An event for all ages to enjoy. Christmas on the Prairie celebrates the holidays with a twist- 1800s style! Located at Pioneer Farms, you’ll be taken back to historic homesteads. Arriving in a horse-drawn wagon, Christmas on the Prairie will feature historical crafts, ornament making, treats and music! Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for youth/seniors.

Downtown Holiday Stroll: 25th Anniversary | Downtown Austin | 5PM-10PM

Live music, a holiday market, photos with Santa, and so much more to look forward to at the 25th Anniversary Holiday Stroll! The family friendly event will definitely have something for everyone to enjoy, including a variety of tasty food trucks. Taking the stage includes artist like Mobley, Alesia Lani, who joined us at our Live Morning Broadcast during ACL Fest, and Max Frost, whose live performance from our Dell Music Lounge is included in the Broadcasts Vol.27 CD and vinyl! Best part of it all is that there will be free activities! The festivities start at 5PM and the countdown to the lighting of the downtown tree starts at 7pm. You don’t want to miss out on the annual holiday tradition! 

 

ATX Vegans Holiday Party & Gift Market | Circle Brewing Company | 12PM-4PM

Try food from some of the best vegan vendors in Austin while you do all your holiday shopping! Music will be played, healthy beers will be on-site for 21 and up. Your furry friends are welcome to join and so is the whole family! RSVP is required to attend.
 

Sunday, December 8th

Holiday Mini Market | South Congress Hotel | 10AM-3PM

If you’re in need of finding gifts for your loved ones, check out the Holiday Mini Market. It’s a one day pop-up featuring over 30 brands, vendors, and activations. It’s free to the public!

 

Far Out Sundays | The Far Out Lounge & Stage | 12PM

Get your grub on at the Far Out Lounge. A taco buffet + a Bloody Mary bar + live music with a tribute to The White Stripes and The Black Keys sounds like a great Sunday afternoon. 

 

Luminations | Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center | 6PM-9PM

The winter tradition is back! Come out with the whole family and stroll down gardens and trails filled with thousands of luminaries and dazzling light displays. Attendees will also get to witness a dance performance from Blue Lapis Light aerial dance company. Hot chocolate, s’mores, drinks and more will be available to purchase.
