FRIDAY JAN. 18

Words With Waterloo | Buzz Mill | 6pm-8pm
Dancing, drinking and painting. What more could you ask for on a night out! This is a combination of all three, all at the same time. There will be live watercolor painting by Arielle Austin Studio, music played by Strings Attached, and dancing from Dance Waterloo, all inspired by you. The way this all begins is with you writing a word down, and then the interactive night begins! The word you choose will influence the art these artists create right on the spot. If you can’t make it, there’s a way for you to be there virtually!

 

An Antonelli’s Cheese Date Night | Antonelli’s Cheese House | 6:15pm-8:30pm
If you love cheese as much as we do then keep reading! Enjoy your Friday night with your cheese-lovin’ date and head over to Antonelli’s for a cheese tasting. The delicious cheese treats will be accompanied with assorted craft chocolates, meats and drinks. This evening tasting will also come with making new friends! You’ll be seated with other couples who love cheese as much as you do… and what’s a better thing to have in common?!

 

Retro Range- Best of ‘80s Club Music | Elysium | 9:30pm
Bust out those moves and jam out to some ‘80s hits. The best of ‘80s club music will be  making a return this weekend at the Elysium. And if you’re lucky, they might even sneak in some ‘90’s tunes!

 

SATURDAY JAN. 19

Print Austin 2019| Various locations | 12pm
The 6th annual PrintAustin festival has begun! There’s an entire month of contemporary and traditional printmaking events to go to. The festival this year has over 50 events to pick from. Some of these include exhibits, artist talks, workshops and more. Go here to see all of the different events you can attend.

 

DIY Bath BombsCraft | 5pm-7pm
Bath bombs can be fun… but pricey! Now you can make them yourself. This DIY bath bomb course will be taught by the experts themselves. You’ll learn how to mix all the ingredients properly to create a vibrant and fragrant bath bomb to perfection.

 

Cup of Ambition: A Dolly Parton Birthday Bash | Barracuda | 8pm
It’s a Dolly Parton party! She’s turning 73 today and Barracuda wants you to celebrate. Dress to impress… there will be a costume contest. Along with some Dolly Party tunes playing all night, you’ll have the chance to perform yourself! Country karaoke will go on until 2am. The party will benefit the non-profit organization, Front Steps, which manages the downtown Austin Resource Center for the Homeless.

 

SUNDAY JAN. 20

Cars and Coffee Austin | Circuit of The Americas | 8am-12pm
Circuit of The Americas is hosting a pop-up car show. Cars and Coffee Austin will be held in Lot A, and coffee is free! Profits from the show will be donated to the Travis County Center for Child Protection. If you want to be a part of the auto show, there is a $5 vehicle donation. It’s a rain or shine event and your pups are welcome.

Weaving 101 | Crafts & Drafts Austin | 12pm-3pm
Learn something new this weekend and attend a weaving course. This workshop will provide you with all the tips and tricks needed. This step-by-step process will start by learning how to add your yarn onto the loom, how to start and stop on certain sections your working on, and even teach you how to create different stitches. All supplies are included!

The FOMO Factory: Dog Day | The FOMO Factory | 4pm
In need of some new pictures with your furry friends? The FOMO Factory is the place to go to. Bring your dogs and closest friends and immerse yourself in all the art! The interactive artspace will be a great place for you to get some memorable photos with the people you love most. Pets aren’t usually allowed, so take advantage of this special dog day!
