Throw it back to the 70’s tonight at Revelry’s themed summer camp social benefiting the Girls Empowerment Network! The event is $35 for general admission ($75 for VIP tickets), and will host art installations, a live DJ set from Chulita Vinyl Club, a nail art bar, crafts and games, an essential s’mores bar, and much more! The National Tiny House & Simple Living Jamboree is the destination for enthusiasts, lifestyle advocates, industry professionals and those interested in the simple lifestyle – delivering and celebrating the best that simple living has to offer: mindful practices, eco-friendly products and services, and of course, one-of-a-kind tiny houses and tiny living structures. But it is more than just a festival! The Jamboree aims to raise awareness about the small-living movement, re-address how we look at housing, educate about the latest developments across the nation, and serve as a platform to discuss issues such as affordability and attainability in the housing market.

 

Pop Cats

Calling all cat lovers! The POP Cats cat-lovers convention is descending upon Austin this wekend! The two day event will host cat playtime, adoptions, tattoos, photo ops, art installations, meet and greets, and over 80 cat-themed exhibitors from around the world! Quesoff
1:00 PM | Mohawk Austin

Get your melted cheese fix this Saturday at the 2018 Quesoff! Around 35 queso creators will be competing head to head in four categories: meaty, spicy, veggie, and wild card, and you get to sample them all! Entry is free with a donation of two canned goods benefiting the Central Texas Food Bank, or $2 cash per person.

Austin Chronicle Hot Sauce Festival

 

28th Annual Austin Chronicle Hot Sauce Festival
11 AM – 5 PM | Fiesta Gardens

What better way to follow up a day of sampling queso, than with a day of sampling Central Texas’ hottest salsas? The Austin Chronicle Hot Sauce Festival returns for its 28th year this Sunday, hosting live music from Little Joe y Familia, El Tule, Altamesa, and more, eats and drinks from local vendors, and of course, all the hot sauce you can eat! Admission is free with a $5 donation to the Central Texas Food Bank.

 

Paddle for Puppies
6:45 – 9:45 AM| Rowing Dock on Lady Bird Lake

Rise and shine and hit the water with Austin Subaru at their 7th annual Paddle for Puppies event! Tickets are $40 (which benefit the Parvo Puppy Program at Austin Pets Alive!), and get you a kayak or canoe rental, a Paddle for Puppies t-shirt, and complimentary breakfast tacos and coffee to wake you up! Le Garage Sale
11 AM – 5 PM | Palmer Events Center

End the weekend with a little shopping spree at the biannual Le Garage Sale! Over 80 local vendors will load into the Palmer Events Center for two days with a variety of clothing, jewelry, home decor, and everything in between, plus coffee, cokctails, and great music to shop to!
