Eagles – The Long Goodbye W/ Steely Dan – Night One | 7:30pm | Moody Center

The Eagles have had a miraculous 52-year odyssey, performing for people all over the globe; keeping the music alive in the face of tragic losses, upheavals and setbacks of many kinds. Credit and thanks go to our longtime management team, our dedicated road crew, and our exceptional backup musicians for providing skilled and steadfast support, throughout these many years. We know how fortunate we are, and we are truly grateful. Our long run has lasted far longer than any of us ever dreamed. But, everything has its time, and the time has come for us to close the circle. The official farewell tour is currently in the planning stages. We want to give all our fans a chance to see us on this final round. So, scheduling information will be released as dates are set. The difficulties of booking venues for multiple nights may require us to return to certain cities, depending on demand. But, we hope to see as many of you as we can, before we finish up. Most importantly, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for embracing this band and its music. At the end of the day, you are the reason we have been able to carry on for over five decades. This is our swan song, but the music goes on and on.”

With love and gratitude,

The Eagles

Woofstock Rotator New

ACL Radio’s Woofstop #2 | 12:00pm | Austin Humane Society

This year Woofstock will be at Buford’s on W. 6th and feature artist Grace Potter!

What is Woofstock?

Back in 2015, the Austin City Limits Radio staff decided to brainstorm the best ways that we could help Austin animal shelters. So many of us on the ACL Radio team have adopted our furry best friends at a local shelter, and we really wanted to find a way that we could give back to these incredible organizations. So, we decided to do what we do best: throw a concert! But in lieu of purchasing tickets, you’ll need to make a donation to one of the three Austin animal shelters listed below.
One donation = one pair of tickets.
(Limit one pair of tickets per person. First come, first served.)

How do I get tickets?

Bring a donation to one of our three Woofstops at Austin animal shelters. The first 80 people to drop off a donation at each shelter will get a pair of tickets to see Grace Potter for our Woofstock show at Buford’s. There are three Woofstops, so come to whichever location is most convenient for you (see below for where & when). They need everything from pet food, kitty litter, toys, pooper scoopers to blankets and beyond. A little goes a long way to help our four legged friends in need!

(Suggested donation $15 value)

Free Lunch ATX is a collective of Austin creatives who reduce food insecurity by growing, cooking, and serving food and engaging in food access advocacy by publishing a quarterly magazine. Our main focus is on the health of those who are experiencing homelessness in our community. If we want to successfully support them, we have to provide them with nutrients. It’s not just about eating; they need nourishment. Learn more about them by visiting their website.

Since 2005, Jo’s has hosted an annual Chili Cook-Off and benefit each winter. The event supports non-profit groups addressing hunger issues locally and draws amateur and professional culinary talent into a fierce battle for the prized trophy chili pot and other goodies. FREE.
