Winter Wonderland
6:00 PM | Circuit of The Americas

Beginning on Friday, Nov. 23, Circuit of The Americas is turning their site into a Winter Wonderland with an ice skating rink, petting zoo, Santa’s workshop, carnival rides, and more! Adding to the annual festivities, this year Circuit of The Americas is featuring The World Famous Chinese Lantern Festival, which is a display of illuminated, handcrafted sculptures. The Winter Wonderland will be taking place throughout the weekends of November and December. Tickets for entry are available here.

 

Tree Lighting and Santa’s Arrival
10:00 AM | Hill Country Galleria

The annual tree lighting festival and Santa’s arrival is taking place at the Hill Country Galleria. However, this year there will be a live music performance from the indie pop band Echosmith. Along with live music, there will be arts and crafts and face paint for the kids. The event is free so enjoy this festive night with your friends and family while listening to some great tunes!

 

Record Store Day Black Friday
9:00 AM – 11:00 PM | Waterloo Records

Black Friday is one of the biggest days in retail where nearly every store has deals and packages for their shoppers going into the holiday season. Record Store Day is a gathering of independent, local record stores across the country who come together to celebrate diversity, culture, and community. Putting the two days together, Record Store Day and Black Friday have produced a day for music lovers to grab limited edition and deluxe packages from their favorite artists both new and old. On Friday, Nov. 23, Waterloo Records is hosting a Black Friday sale with Record Store Day where there will be food and drinks for those waiting to find their new prized possession. Additionally, Austin City Limit Radio Broadcasts Vol. 26 has been released on CD and Vinyl in record stores around town, including Waterloo Records, so be sure to pick up your copy!

A Holiday Evening with Bob Schneider

Local musical legend, Bob Schneider, is bringing the Christmas cheer to Austin this Saturday, Nov. 24. Schneider will be sharing the stage at The Moody Theater with the Moonlight Orchestra, Lex Land, Steve Poltz, and Alesia Lani. The artists will be performing their own works, as well as classical holiday favorites. City- Wide Garage Sale

Some of the best parts about Austin is the hidden treasures one can find when looking in the nooks and crannies of the city. And as a reminder of this special characteristic, Palmer Events Center is hosting a city- wide garage sale. Whether you are wanting to get rid of old clothes and trinkets or hoping to find the perfect secret Santa gift, then head over to the sale. Renegade Craft Fair

The two day Renegade Craft Fair spanning across this weekend is taking over Fair Market with trinkets, crafts, and designs galore. For the 9th year in a row, the Renegade Craft Show is celebrating contemporary, handmade crafts. Shop from some of the most creative and diverse artists in the country and find the perfect stocking stuffer! There will be live music, food trucks, and cocktails for shoppers. Entry into the market is free.

Blue Genie Art Bazaar

The Blue Genie Art Bazaar is a four week shopping market that comes to Austin every year just in time for the holiday season. Over 200 artists from the area gather to offer their diverse and one of a kind talents that make perfect holiday gifts! Zilker Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony

The 52nd annual lighting of the holiday tree has been one of the biggest indicators in Austin of the holiday season approaching. The Zilker tree, which stands at 155 feet tall, is made up of 39 streamers and totals 3,309 light bulbs. Beginning in 1967, the Zilker tree serves as a traditional celebration of the holidays so don’t miss out on it this year!

 

Rock of Ages 10th Anniversary Tour
6:30 PM | ACL Live at The Moody Theater

One of Broadway’s best musicals is coming to town in celebration of Rock of Ages 10th year anniversary. Showcasing classical tunes from the 1980’s rock and roll scene, Rock of Age is making their way across the country to bring back some of the best times in music history.
