HAAM Day 2018: Help Keep One of Austin’s Most Valued Institutions Thriving

HAAM Day 2018

Austin, Texas is home to one of the largest and greatest local music communities in the world, and part of what keeps it continuously growing and thriving is the existence of HAAM. HAAM, or the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians, provides much needed health care services to low-income local musicians to keep them healthy, happy, and performing! Austin is one of very few cities that are fortunate enough to have an organization like HAAM, and that’s why it’s extremely important to show our support by giving back and doing what we can to ensure HAAM is able to continue providing essential care to the local musicians we know and love.

On September 11th, the city will be coming together to celebrate HAAM Day with over 200 free performances from local musicians taking place at various participating venues, restaurants, and other locations across the city in the effort to raise awareness and funds to keep HAAM growing! KGSR is proud to support HAAM Day by broadcasting remotely from the annual Whole Foods Downtown event, which will host performances from 13 local artists all day long. Swing by between 8 AM to 10 AM to catch performances by Akina Adderly and Johnny Goudie, make a donation to HAAM, and to register for the chance to win a pair of tickets to see Robert Plant at ACL Live this October!
