We can’t believe it either, but next Wednesday is, indeed, our last and final Blues on the Green of what’s been another beautiful summer full of incredible live music and fun! We couldn’t be happier to have folk rock duo The Oh Hellos and Selena tribute band Bidi Bidi Banda closing out the summer for us next Wednesday at Zilker Park. Meet the artists and catch a sneak peek of what to expect from their live performances below:

The Oh Hellos

Formed in 2011 in San Marcos by brother and sister Maggie and Tyler Heath, The Oh Hellos have gained recognition from fans around the world for their beautifully-composed, yet simple sounds which focus mainly on the Heath siblings’ soft, complimenting vocals, accompanying acoustic arrangements, and the particularly exceptional stories the pair tell with their romantic lyrics. In 2013, the critically-acclaimed NBC series, “Parenthood,” featured The Oh Hellos’ hit single “Hello My Old Heart,” from their self-titled debut EP, released in 2011. Today, “Hello My Old Heart” boasts over 34M streams on Spotify. Earlier this year, the pair released their fourth studio album “Eurus,” a triumphant record with plenty of airy vocals, guitar plucking and peaceful tunes to go around that’s as enjoyable as it is true to the band’s folk roots. We know they’ll close the show next week at Blues on the Green with a larger-than-life, uplifting performance that none of us will soon forget!

Bidi Bidi Banda

Are you even Texan if you don’t know all the words to Como La Flor? Well, if you’re not, (and you don’t) we’ll settle for dancing along to every Selena song next week with tribute band Bidi Bidi Banda as they open the show at Blues! Composed of members of some of Austin’s best Latinx bands, Bidi Bidi Banda was formed by Austin native Stephanie Bergara, who grew up belting Tejano music into a hair brush wearing her mother’s red lipstick, and now honors Selena by singing her songs on real stages for fans all over Texas. We personally can’t think of a better way to watch the sun set at Zilker park next Wednesday than by singing and dancing to the legendary Queen of Tejano’s greatest hits alongside thousands of other Austinites. See you there!
