NEW MUSIC ALERT!

Austin’s Black Pumas have teamed up with Lucius to cover The Kinks’ “Strangers.” The song will be featured in the trailer for the upcoming documentary, Life in a Day 2020, which will stream for free this Saturday (Feb. 6) on Youtube. The trailer will make its broadcast debut on CBS this Sunday prior to the Super Bowl. Watch this behind-the-scenes video of the making of this new song:  

 

Matt Maeson has teamed up with designer/producer Ross Fitzgerald, aka Rozwell, for a new project under the name “USERx” (pronounced user). On Wednesday, they released a song called “Headsick” featuring Manchester Orchestra

 

And of course, Foo Fighters‘ new album Medicine at Midnight has finally arrived! 

 

 

LIVESTREAMS HAPPENING SOON:

Next Saturday, Feb. 13, Food For Love will be hosting a benefit livestream in order to raise money to end hunger in New Mexico. The lineup is stacked and features many Austin artists including Lyle Lovett,  Shawn Colvin, Charlie Sexton, Shinyribs, Alejandro Escovedo, and more. 

 

The Long Center will be kicking off their FREE online concert series, called “Good Vibes Only,” next Wednesday, Feb. 10, with a performance by Sun June.

And finally, this Saturday, Austin City Limits will pay tribute to two Texas icons we lost last year, Jerry Jeff Walker and Billy Joe Shaver. Tune in to Austin PBS at 7 pm to watch, and check out a sneak peek below.
